How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy can be helpful for anyone navigating life transitions, stress, relationships, grief, anxiety, or simply wanting a deeper understanding of themselves. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. If you’re curious, reach out—we can talk through what you’re looking for so that you have the information you need to make the best decision for you.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can request an appointment through the contact form on this website or by phone/email. I’ll follow up to confirm availability and answer any questions before we meet.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you in, what you hope to gain from therapy, and how we might work together. There’s no pressure—it’s a conversation, and you’re welcome to ask questions.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes, I offer complimentary consultations via phone or Zoom to see if we’re a good fit. Contact me to schedule.
Individual Therapy
What does individual therapy look like?
Individual therapy is a one-on-one space where you get to be the center of attention, allowing you to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Together we’ll work toward your goals—whether that’s managing anxiety, building self-compassion, healing from trauma, or navigating a life change.
How long does individual therapy last?
It lasts as long as you would like it to. Some people find relief in a few sessions; others prefer longer-term work. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is meeting your needs, and if it’s not we’ll make adjustments or I can help you find another therapist or solution that may better meet your needs.
Couples Therapy
When should we consider couples therapy?
Couples therapy can help with communication challenges, recurring conflicts, trust, intimacy, major transitions, or feelings of disconnection. It can also be valuable as preventative work to strengthen a relationship.
Do we both need to want therapy for it to work?
It helps when both partners are willing to engage, but it’s not a requirement to start. We can discuss your situation and what’s realistic for your relationship.
Will the therapist take sides?
No. My role is to support the relationship and both partners—helping each person feel heard while working toward shared understanding.
Family Therapy
What issues can family therapy address?
Family therapy can support communication, parenting challenges, blended-family transitions, conflict, grief, and changes affecting the whole household. It’s about helping family members understand one another and function better together.
Family therapy can be a great way for families that are feeling stuck, frustrated, or lost to reconnect, align on values, and discover ways to relate that create more harmony, peace, and connection together.
Who attends family therapy sessions?
That depends on your family’s needs. Sessions may include parents and children, siblings, or a subset of the family. We’ll discuss who should be involved as we get started.
